Hidden Beauties-Debuting at the London MCM Comic Con TOMORROW!

My brand new art book 'Hidden Beauties' makes it's debut on my table at the London MCM Comic Con tomorrow.

Priced at £4, the book also comes with a FREE 6x4 art print of your choice (I shall be bringing a lot!), and will be signed if desired.

Hidden Beauties contains 15 fun digital impressionistic pin-ups from nerd culture. These include female versions of: Skull Kid (Skull Girl), Master Chief (Mistress Chief), a female version of Aku Aku from Crash Bandicoot, Boba Fett, Stormtrooper (Stormtroopet).

Popular female game characters have also been glammed up here, including Samus from Metroid, plus plenty more.

Previews of the book can be found in the previous posts on this blog, but I shall be showing off copies of the full glossy, high quality book at the MCM.

For those of you who cannot make it to the MCM this weekend, fear not! I updated my online store today, so Hidden Beauties can be picked up for £4 there too. The only difference is, you will be paying £2 for postage, unlike at the MCM. http://www.comicsy.co.uk/twinswordtrading/

Thanks to everyone who checks out my book and picks up a copy this weekend. Enjoy!

New Products In My Store!

I shall be at the London MCM Comic Con tomorrow and Sunday, and so I decided it was a good time to update my online store.

At the last con I exhibited at, I had a lot of people interested in buying my comic and art prints on my online store. Therefore, this time I've updated the store just before I go to MCM so that anyone who either cannot attend or does not have the money to pick up anything this weekend can browse my store and buy at their leisure from home.

Payments are completed via paypal. I keep my postage costs very cheap, and orders are sent out generally on the day of purchase or the following morning!

At the time of posting this, I am still adding a few brand new items, but there is plenty up already!

My brand new art book Hidden Beauties is also available to pick up from there (I'll sign it too!). If you cannot buy it at MCM this weekend, Hidden Beauties is £4 plus £2 postage!
Check out my online store here: http://www.comicsy.co.uk/twinswordtrading/

Thanks to everyone who has ever bought anything from my store. It means a lot!

I'm at the London MCM Comic Con This Weekend!

Con time is here again already! It seems like such a short time ago since I was last at a convention (London Super Comic Con in February).

Now this weekend I shall be at the London MCM Comic Con at the ExCel Centre (Custom House, if anyone is wondering what train station is the closest!).

I shall be in the Comic Village section of the con, along with a whole bunch of excellent artist buddies. I shall be giving them a feature in my next blog post, so stay tuned.

So to anyone who is interested, I shall be selling and showing off my comic 'Royal', preview samples of my upcoming comics, unveiling my new art book 'Hidden Beauties' and presenting a plethora of new and old prints (geek themed for the con lovers, and some original stuff too).

I am based at table E8 in Comic Village, and will be manning the table along with my FiancĂ© Kayleigh Powis of blogs Pages and Panels (comics) and 8-Bit Girl (gaming). Please come on over and say hi. We don't bite!

I look forward to seeing a lot of you there.

Voodoo and Lollipops

It has been a while since I have announced anything about my next comic.

Now that I have launched Twin Sword Comics, I shall be uploading all of my comics on that blog for free.  Shade was going to be the next instalment after Royal, moving the tale from England to Ireland, however after a lot of thought I have decided to stick to Royal for the moment.

It seems that from all of my feedback people are interested most in seeing more of Pola.  Therefore I am going to be working on Voodoo and Lollipops.  Originally this tale was going to be a series of shorts for the Three's Company series but now it has taken on a much more epic tale.

Voodoo and Lollipops introduces a new character, Pola's old flame Aldercy.  Due to tragedy the two parted .  Now life throws them together again, both damaged by the past and thrown into an even darker tale than Royal how will the couple cope.

Meanwhile Janet must try and weave her way out of her romance with Mr. Bear, whilst Prince uses his world renowned hunting skills to find a drug induced psychopath by the name of Magpie.

Having found my feet in Royal, I now intend to use the knowledge that I gained from that experience to create Voodoo and Lollipops my 100 page graphic novel.

Until it is released I shall be putting it up in bite-sized chunks on Twin Sword Comics.

So watch this space for more Pola, Janet, Prince, crazies, demons, voodoo and most importantly lollipops!

Hidden Beauties: Splicer

It's been a few days of these posts now, so for those following them, you'll be well aware that I am releasing an art book called 'Hidden Beauties', featuring a whole host of male gaming characters turned women. Of course, each of their familiar masks remain.

Thinking about my favourite masked characters, I had to include a Splicer from Bioshock. The Bioshock games are fantastic, creepy and atmospheric. Of course, I tend to revert to the creepy side of art quite a lot, so this seemed quite fitting.

So, here's a Splicer, minus the ripped and bloodstained clothes and bandages, but still so sinister.

Keep checking back on the blog for more updates on the book! It'll be available to buy at the MCM Comic Con on the 25th-26th May, as well as on my Comicsy online store once the convention is over. If you're interested in reserving a copy, please let me know by sending me an email!
